Children & Young People’s Wellbeing Service
This service can be funded by local primary, secondary schools or colleges, and offers children and young people opportunities to:
- Improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Learn healthy coping skills
- Develop confidence, resilience, strength and independence
Services can include:
- Information, advice and signposting
- One to one support sessions
- Wellbeing-focused activities which can include art & craft, mindfulness, relaxation
- Crisis /wellbeing drop-in sessions
- Peer support and social groups
- Group work on a range of topics.
Some examples include: mental health awareness, managing anger, low mood, anxiety, and exam stress
