Havant and East Hants Mind, is based in Leigh Park, Havant and was established in 1990. The charity was formed by a group of mental health professionals and other passionate and interested individuals. For over 30 years HEH Mind, affiliated to National Mind, has delivered services tailored to match local needs.
For 20 years we supported and collaborated with Portsmouth Mind allowing greater support for those commuting on and off Portsea Island. Unfortunately, Portsmouth Mind closed in 2016, resulting in a split of provision between the local Minds in Hampshire.
Originally HEH Mind services and support were only available across the Havant Borough and East Hampshire District, including areas such as: Hayling Island, Waterlooville, Emsworth, Petersfield, Alton, Bordon and Bentley. More recently Hampshire wide services and projects have been added to our portfolio and offering. Examples of these include our Families Services, Sport Club support (Ambassadors) and Workplace Wellbeing.
On specific projects we have, and continue to work with other Hampshire Minds (Andover Mind and Solent Mind in Southampton). Furthermore, as part of the Mind Federation we regularly collaborate with the 110 local Minds across England and Wales.
We hope to continue to grow our free to access wellbeing services, our fundraising and engagement activities to better support all members of our Hampshire communities.
