Salomon Serpent Trail – Charity of the Year

The Serpent Trail is a beautiful long distance route within the South Downs National Park, from Haslemere to Petersfield. There are 10K, Half Marathon, 50K and 100K routes, which runners completed last weekend.

HEH Mind, as the chosen Charity of the Year for the Salomon Serpent Trail, hosted by Freedom Racing, received £2,000. This came from optional donations at the event registration and a round up donation made by Freedom Racing.

“We are proud to have Havant and East Hants Mind as our official charity.  Mental health has affected everyone either directly or indirectly so we are pleased to be able to help raise awareness and funds to help them do their great work in supporting those in need through the event.  There is the option to give the charity a donation at time of entry and we give information about fundraising for them through sponsorship.” – Tom, Freedom Racing

Mike and Ross from HEH Mind attended the event to promote local services, support and projects. “It has been great to be here at Petersfield Rugby Club, who we collaborate with via our Ambassadors project, for the Serpent Trail event. We have been delighted to see the event unfold from the Friday evening, with runners arriving, registering and setting up camp; to the Saturday afternoon and seeing the celebrations as runners completed their race.” – Mike, HEH Mind
