Mental Health Hub Opening

On Thursday 21st March HEH Mind’s new Mental Health Hub, located within the Meridian Shopping Centre (Havant) was opened by Mayor Councillor Rosy Raines and CEO of HEH Mind, Julie Parker.

Thank you to everyone that attended the Mayoral Opening Ceremony of our new Mental Health Hub at Meridian Shopping Centre. It was a delight to see so many people that have been part of this project and supported it’s/ our development, including Havant Borough Council, Havant Borough Community Lottery, Citizens Advice Havant, Beacon Church, Havant, Havant Library, Hampshire County Council (Adult Social Care), Hampshire Integrated Care, Public Health Hampshire, Isle of Wight Public Health, Public Health Portsmouth and Public Health Southampton, Horizon, Beck’s Removals, Inner space Cheshire, Tesco Extra (Havant), Future Refurbishments, Fatface Foundation and the team at Meridian Centre. We also thank Leigh Park Community Singers for their wonderful performances on Thursday and Saturday.

Richard Watts, Chair of the Board of Trustees at HEH Mind said “Our Mental Health Hub will provide greater accessibility for our service users, visitors and fundraisers. The location here has great transport links with Havant Rail and Bus Stations less than 5 minutes walk away. This location adds greater visibility with its high footfall, raising awareness for our services, supporting recruitment of volunteers, ambassadors, champions and fundraisers. We are delighted to be embedded in our communities right across the Borough; in turn enhancing our services, support and engagement across Hampshire.”

We are hosting three more opening activities this week on Tuesday 26th March, Wednesday 27th March and Thursday 28th March between 10am and 2pm. Our team will be in the Meridian Centre to welcome visitors and answer questions leading up to our Mental Health Hub fully opening on Tuesday 2nd April.
