April is Stress Awareness Month and a good time to reflect on the impact stress is having on us day to day.
During 2020 and 2021 in particular many of us have experienced additional stresses because of covid, social restrictions and lockdowns.
Stress is a significant factor in mental health problems including anxiety and depression. It is also linked to physical health problems like heart disease, problems with our immune system, insomnia and digestive problems.
What could you do for Stress Awareness Month? -Talk about stress and it’s effects -Share your coping mechanisms -Be kind and considerate of others, who may be experiencing stress and or anxiety -Look after and be kind to yourself
Today is a great opportunity to think about how you can support your health. That might include looking into our wellbeing services, it might include discovering more about the #5waystowellbeing through one of our training sessions, or engaging with us through our Ambassadors in sport project.
